Free time on weekdays has been hard to come by this summer.. Summer Fridays have been spent working from home, on rooftops or at the beach, so when I managed to actually have a day off, I took advantage of  being in the city [vs not]. A few friends invited me out to Friday brunch [I didnt know that was a thing. I'm hooked!]. Lovely company, tasty food [a lot of ingredients grown on the rooftop garden], and bottles and bottles of sparkling rosé. These girls know how to have a good time.

As you may have figured out by now, I dont really have a lot of denim in my closet, not counting black jeans and chambray shirts. I was home a few weeks ago and dug up this American Eagle jean jacket I used to wear in high school. It was three sizes too big, but after chopping off the arms and a quick alter, I took it for a late summer stroll. Staple black shorts and an unexpected print brought it all together. Would you wear a denim vest?
