Coach, a brand so popularized in the 90s with its signature “C’s”, shed its monogram for its newest collection and went back to its roots. Legacy was created to celebrate the timelessness of classic Coach, set in a modern world. The product not only speaks to that, but so does the collaboration with The Sartorialist:

This isn’t the first time I’ve written about The Sartorialist [I met him at the Dr. Martens event and at the LA signing of his first book, and covered his Intel partnership], so you could say I’m a fan of his work [who isn’t]? I was invited to celebrate Scott’s second book, “The Sartorialist – Closer”, at the Danziger Gallery. The fête brought out fashion notables, including Nicole Phelps, Tim Blanks, Eric Jennings, editors including Nick Sullivan, Kate Davidson Hudson, Susan Cernek, Elisa Lipsky-Karasz, Jane Keltner de Valle, Shiona Turini, Nick Axelrod, and Emily Weiss, and fellow bloggers Bryanboy, Leandra Medine, Rumi Neely and the lovely Garance. I had a great time with friends, and couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off fashion week [shoutouts to K, C, S and E!].

My favorite shot featured in the exhibition was, of course, of Carine Roitfeld and Emmanuelle Alt. For more On the Street shots by Scott, check out the gallery and ‘the making of’ video.

Actually, a signed copy of “Closer” would be icing on the cake. Please?
