I’ve been seeing this clever page in the round of magazines lately. I spotted it a few weeks ago but I ignored it and turned the page after seeing a picture of Michael Phelps. But I read the same page in the most recent Harpers Bazaar and I was blown away by the the concepts of “internet vs. magazines”, “convergence culture” and “co-existence” within this simple one-page script. It goes: We surf the Internet. We swim in magazines. The Internet is exhilarating. Magazines are enveloping. The Internet grabs you. Magazines embrace you. The Internet is impulsive.
